Corduroy Jumper on Campus

I can't believe that this is my third fall not going back to school. Although it feels like it has been that long, it certainly makes me realize how fast time has gone. I've never been the type that thrives in a school setting, but sometimes the fall makes me miss going back. I think it's because fall reminds me of a new start, but that should be happening regardless soon enough.

This Sunday Dino and I walked around the University of Chicago campus in Hyde Park. Since I've never been there, and Dino hadn't since before he started his MBA on the downtown campus, we decided to make our way over there. The campus was serene with its gardens, architecture, and overall prestigiousness, I was in awe.

I wore this corduroy jumper that I recently purchased at H&M. I remember having a similar jumper during my childhood, talk about throwback!

Top 5 Brunch Places in the West Loop

For those who say they don't love brunch, you're lying. Just kidding, but really, though, besides the fear of being called "basic" what's not to love?

Personally, brunch gives me a sunny disposition on the rest of the day with its unique breakfast cuisines and possibly a mimosa, or two. My boyfriend and I love trying different spots all over the city, but the West Loop, in particular, is slowly becoming one of our favorite spots in the city.

Here are a few of our favorite places:

1. The Publican- A cool, communal atmosphere with large tables. The food isn't your traditional brunch and focuses heavily on seafood and pork dishes.
2. The Allis- This is located below the Soho House. It's a creative, rustic, and grand venue offering light breakfast bites, plus coffee and tea.
3. Bar Siena- A casual, Italian restaurant that serves great shareable brunch plates.
4. Nosh and Booze- A pop-up restaurant that serves southern style breakfast (pictured below).
5. Little Goat Diner- The Bull's Eye French Toast is unbelievable. I would recommend going here for all breakfast classics and then some.
